Greater Derry Running Camp is July 26-30

DERRY — Greater Derry Running Camp for boys and girls in fifth grade and older will be held July 26-30, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Pinkerton Academy track.

The cost is $80 per child, $95 for late sign up after July 12.

There is a focus on cross country, but is also appropriate for anyone who wants to get in shape for a fall sport. There will be daily runs, lectures, games, relays, movies, and an end-of-the-week, 2-mile and 5K race with awards.

Brookstone offers unique golf tournament June 17

DERRY — Reservations are now being accepted for the first ever "Tee Off with 92.5 The River" golf tournament sponsored by Brookstone Park. The tournament will be held June 17. Tee times can be reserved by calling Brookstone Golf and Driving Range at 894-7336.

This tournament is open to all golfers. Groups will play as five-somes in a 9-hole shotgun start, with tee times at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.. Space is limited and guests must register at least 48 hours in advance to take advantage of the special $9.25 greens fee, which includes entry into all contests. Guests will enjoy a great day of golf and can participate in a putting contest, hole-in-one contest, and a closest-to-the-pin challenge.

LONDONDERRY — Londonderry United Soccer Club will sponsor its 13th annual International Soccer Camp run by Dutch Soccer Academy, Aug. 9-13 at Londonderry's West Road fields. It offers full-day and half-day camps.

DSA brings a staff of professional coaches from Europe and South America. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Players will be grouped based on similar skill level, knowledge of the game and age. Derry Eagles soccer program holds tryouts

The Derry Eagles competitive travel soccer program is holding tryouts during the month of June for the fall 2010 season for the U7 through U14 teams.

All players must register online prior to attending tryouts. Players who are not selected for an Eagles team roster will have their tryout registration converted to the in-town Derry Hawks program.

Whether your child is just starting out at the Early Development Program level or looking to improve their soccer skills in preparation for middle school and above, the Derry Eagles Competitive Soccer Program can help.

The Londonderry Youth Golf Program begins June 27 for competitive and July 13 for instructional.

This recreational program is designed to accommodate both beginning and experienced golfers ages 7 to 18.

The program is eight weeks long for competitive and five weeks long for instructional. The instructional program meets Tuesdays and costs $65. The competitive program costs $185 and meets Sundays and Tuesdays.

SportsZone offers summer basketball camps

DERRY — The SportsZone in Derry is offering three weeks of summer basketball camps. Girls camp for ages 8 to 16 is offered June 28-July 2.
