Windham youth baseball team earns trip to World Series

The Windham 10U district baseball team has battled and won their way to a coveted spot in the Cal Ripken World Series in Phenix City, Alabama as the New England Champs.

The team beat a tough squad from Greenwich, Connecticut in the New England Regional Finals to earn there spot in the World Series. Competition begins on July 30 and will run until August 8. The top 16 teams from across the country will battle to be crowned champions. 

This trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and the team is fundraising to help offset some of the traveling costs. Please join them for a fun, family-friendly event at Chunky’s in Pelham for a viewing of “The Sandlot” this Sunday (July, 28). Tickets are $10 per person, and there will be raffles to win.

So far, raffle items include Bruins and Red Sox tickets, passes to Mel’s Funway and a week of choice at a condo in Orlando, Florida.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for raffles, and the movie begins at 7.

Players on the team are Blake Paquette, Chris Boyd, Josh Martino, Jason Sullo, Sam Roidoulis, William Weiss, Sean Collins, Michael Brearley, Noah Phillippe, Vince Folco, Jacob Honor, Jacob Carullo and Andy Connarn. The manager is Joe Carullo, and his assistants are Scott Paquette, David Weiss and Matt Honor.
