Pinkerton boys, girls sweep Merrimack Invite

Adam Spencer set the Merrimack Invite meet record in the 110 hurdles.

The Pinkerton boys and girls track and field teams took the top spot at the Merrimack Invitational, boasting individual winners in nine total events between them.

The boys dominated, winning the meet with 107 points. Merrimack came in second (63), and Londonderry finished ninth (26) out of 16 scoring teams.

Adam Spencer set the meet record with a 14.44 in the 110-meter hurdles, then won the 300 hurdles at 39.56 and took the high jump with a leap of 5-10. Spencer, Alex Gibeau, Zach Plaza and Ben Fleming comprised the winning 4x400 relay team, which ran it in 3:31.21. Conor Seleny won the 200 with a time of 22.79 and Joron Harrell won the triple jump with a distance of 43-3. 

For the Lancers, Patrick Hagearty took first in the discus (146-2) and second in the shot put (47-7).

On the girls, Amelia Graves won the 200 and 300-meter dashes with times of 26.48 and 46.13, respectively, while Meghan Cross won the 3200 with a time of 11:13.30.

Suzie Moore won the pole vault for the Lancers (10-6), and Ashley Griffin took a third in the 100 meters (13.01) and a sixth in the pole vault (9-0).
