Londonderry's 'Team Woo' shines at Spring Open

Two local, Team Woo, Jiu Jitsu competitors had great showings at the Boston Spring International Open Jiu Jitsu tournament at the UMass Boston Clark Athletic Center last week.

Woo Kickboxing of Londonderry is an official Brazilian Top Team affiliate and was founded by New Hampshire’s first BTT black belt, Professor Roger Woo. Woo Kickboxing specializes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing and Teen’s MMA. They have classes for the entire family. Fighters compete under the name Team Woo and are now led by Professor Joe Kvetkosky.

At UMass Boston last week, Benjamen Simon competed in the male Master 2 Blue Belt/Light Weight division and took second place in the six-man bracket. Ed Tapia also took a second in the Master 3 Blue Belt/Medium-Heavy Weight division and a third in the Master 3 Open Class.

Brazilian Top Team competed in 57 brackets with 37 competitors and took third overall in the tournament.
