The strong summer of competition continued for members of Londonderry’s Woo Kickboxing.

The Good Fight is the original Sub-Only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament series. There are no points, no advantages and no referee decisions. This is the first time that the Good Fight came to Rhode Island, and the 2019 Rhode Island Classic was held at the Johnston Indoor Rec Center the Saturday before last.

Alyssa Marini and Amber Famisan are known as two of Team Woo’s top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors, and they were personally invited to compete at the 2019 Rhode Island Classic. Famisan could not compete due to an injury, but Marini was happy to represent Team Woo.

Marini placed first as a Blue Belt in the Gi / Middle Weight division, and she also placed second as a Blue Belt in the NoGi / Middle Weight division.

Woo Kickboxing of Londonderry is an official Brazilian Top Team affiliate. The organization specializes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing and Teen’s MMA, and is led by professor Joe Kvetkosky.
