Sophomore Sarah Dempsey scored 32 points as Windham beat Nashua North, 61-51 on Friday. According to coach Anne Haky, that’s a school record for boys and girls at WHS.
Cole Ferguson, Nicholas Pitarys and Zack Rheault each scored while Anthony Federico had two assists as the Londonderry boys hockey team beat Nashua North/Souhegan, 3-1, on Saturday. The Lancers improved to 6-7-1.
Sr. Night Special
The Pinkerton girls hockey team took down Bedford on Senior Night, 5-3, to improve to 5-7 overall in its inaugural season.
Brooke Kane poured in a season-high 32 points as Pinkerton cruised to a 58-38 win over Windham last Tuesday. Abbey Husson had 9 points for the Jaguars, and Sarah Dempsey and Sam Adamson each had 8.
Ashley Rourke had 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals, but it wasn’t quite enough as the Londonderry girls basketball team lost a close one to Dover, 49-45 on Friday. Maddie Haggett chipped in 10 points for the Lancers (6-9).
Jags over Astros
Cole Peterson and Riley Desmarais each scored 11 points as Windham downed Pinkerton, 42-34 last Tuesday. Jay Reynolds had a game-high 14 for the Astros.
