Kids take center stage for Londonderry's 'Team Woo'

Photo by Perry GagnonIt was a banner day for Woo Kickboxing's Christopher Merheb, Marcus Schmitt, Cameron Grassis and Daniel Harrington at the Grappling Industries Boston Tournament last month.

Local Brazilian Jiu Jitsu students Christopher Merheb, Marcus Schmitt, Cameron Grassis and Daniel Harrington competed at the Grappling Industries Boston Tournament late last month. They all learn under coach Perry Gagnon at Londonderry’s Woo Kickboxing Academy.

Merheb took two thirds in both the male 14-15-year-old, 155-pound Green/Blue belt Gi division and No-Gi division, while Schmitt took third in the kids 8-9-year-old, under-75-pound Gi Grey division. Grassis took third in the kids 8-9-year-old, under 95-pound Gi Grey division and also a third in the No Gi kids intermediate division, while Harrington came in fifth in the kids 12-13-year-old, 125-pound Gi Grey division.
