Phantom Gymnastics prep optional division recently competed at the state meet at Gymnastics at Brentwood Commons in Brentwood. The Novice team was just edged off the title and took 2nd with a score of 113.775. 10 Teams participated in what was only the 3rd state meet for the Prep Optional gymnastics program in the state of New Hampshire.

In the Novice level Jr. 11-12 division, Toni Schena of Derry, NH was the AA state champion with a score of 37.575. She was state champ on beam (9.5) and on floor with a 9.475. She was 4th on bars with a 9.6. Amber Chopelas of Salem was 3rd in the AA with 37.225. She was 6th on vault (9.2) and bars (9.425), 2nd on beam with a 9.35, and 3rd on floor with a 9.25. Ashley Iannuzzi of Hampstead was 5th on bars with a 9.575, 3rd on beam with a 9.325, and 5th in the AA with a 36.8. Samantha Milone of Salem was 7th on vault and bars (9.05 and 9.4), 5th on beam with a 9.075 and 4th on floor with a 9.2. She was 6th in the AA with a 36.725.

In the 10-year-old division, Corinn Szostkiewicz of Hampstead tied for the AA State Champion with a 37.375. She was 4th on vault with a 9.225, 6th on bars with a 9.4, 2nd on beam with a 9.325 and state champ on floor with a 9.425. Gemma Schena of Derry was 2nd in the AA with a 36.95. She was 4th on bars with a 9.55, state champ on beam with a 9.4, and 5th on floor with a 9.05. In the Child 6-9 division, Julia DeCloux of Chester was 2nd in the AA with a 37.65. She was 3rd on vault with a 9.45, 4th on bars with a 9.525, 5th on beam and floor (9.225 and 9.45). McKenzie Hughes of Salem was 5th on vault and bars (9.3 and 9.5) and 3rd on floor with 9.5. She was 6th in the AA with a 36.925. Christina Giannopoulos of Hampstead was 7th on bars with a 9.4 and 3rd on beam with a 9.3. Kirstin Klimkofski of Sandown was the bars state champ with a 9.65 and 5th on vault with a 9.3.
