WINDHAM — The sounds of famed band Chicago will come to Windham as part of a concert on Friday, Nov. 22, supporting the Windham Musical Arts Association.
The concert featuring band The Chicago Experience brings all the famed band's songs to the stage at Windham High School, at 7 p.m. The school is on London Bridge Road.
Selections will include favorites that made up the classic Chicago's early musical catalogue from 1968 to 1978.
The Chicago tribute band concert will also feature members of the Windham High School Honors Jazz Band and Honors Choir, along with the Windham Middle School Jazz Band.
"When we partner with a school, we take the show to a different level by offering performance clinics to the students," said band lead vocalist Mike Pacheco. “It gives them an insight to the performance aspect of music and the complexity of Chicago’s early compositions."
The band’s keyboardist Raymond Demartini said the concert will feature hits people have loved for years.
"We focus on the early catalogue from 1968-1978, it's an era of the music that resonates with audiences," Demartini said.
The Chicago Experience consist of some of New England's most accomplished musicians who have shared the stage with with the likes of Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Donna Summer, Steve Winwood and Chicago’s original drummer and founding member, Danny Seraphine.
