WINDHAM — The Windham Actors Guild brings a popular musical to the local stage.

"Guys and Dolls" is presented April, 26 and 27, at 7 p.m., and April 28 at 2 p.m. at Windham High School, 64 London Bridge Road.

The staged show by Frank Loewwer ran for 1,200 performances when it opened on Broadway in 1950 and won many awards. The romantic comedy features all the show's favorites including gambler Nathan Detroit, his girlfriend Adelaide, Sky Masterson and the straight-laced Sarah Brown.

"Guys and Dolls" is based on a story and characters of Damon Runyon with music and lyrics by Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.

The Guild's production is directed by Debera Lund with musical direction by Keith Belanger and choreography by Katie Alexander.
