Pups in paint
As the downtown mural in Derry continues to take shape in many colors and shapes, local pups are getting an opportunity to have their furry faces included in the mural. Artists Karen Lincoln and Alana Wentworth continue to work on the mural and have begun painting the faces of dogs, thanks to generous contributions to the mural project by the proud pup owners.

As the holidays fast approach, the town of Derry has already installed its festive lights on Broadway. Traditional festivities will be different this year due to the pandemic, but Saturday, Nov. 28 is the day the town plans to light up, including downtown lights, and a Christmas tree.
The work on Derry's rail trail system continues on with paving and other work being made to connect the portion running through Hood Park to North High Street. The trail work got some added support from local Boy Scouts who helped clear out areas near the trail to help the project move forward.
