Starting the day

Every day since schools began remote learning, Londonderry High Assistant Principal Katie Sullivan has offered a welcome to students and staff on Twitter, with the Pledge of Allegiance and some Lancer "shout-outs" to get the day going in a positive way. Sullivan recently posted on social media that a special guest, Gov. Chris Sununu, had offered a morning shout-out to Londonderry's Lancer Nation.

Fashion statements

Wearing masks in public these days is the norm, not only for our safety but also for the safety of those around us. Some people are sporting handmade styles that show off their personal interests. People were spotted recently at the Derry Post Office wearing masks with Boston Red Sox symbols. Other wore some with vibrant, colorful prints and others had animals and favorite pets as part of the mask style.

Screen time with pets

As town boards and committees continue doing business remotely, via Zoom or other group meeting platforms, it's not just the face being seen but often a favorite pet or background decor showing up on the computer screen.

In recent meetings, Londonderry town councilors were able to see Councilor Deb Paul and her cat, and in Derry, Councilor Brian Chrichiello also had a visit from a family cat that wanted to get involved in the remote meeting agenda.
