The plate read: YLLWPNY.
During a recent climate forum held at Stonyfield Organic in Londonderry, Democratic presidential hopefuls Tom Steyer and Michael Bennet spoke about their views on handling climate issues if elected president.
There was also time for some Stonyfield support. That included giving special caps to both candidates and offering samples of some products.
"I did have some probiotic yogurt," Steyer said.
Dressed to thrill
It was officially Halloween when Democratic candidate Pete Buttigieg spoke at the Derry Opera House. The South Bend mayor also gave credit to his staff for all their support. Those staff members were wearing outfits that were very similar to Buttigieg's favorite look — blue pants, white shirt and blue tie.
"Happy Halloween," Buttigieg said, adding "I see a few folks here in uniform, too."
When a contingent of visitors came to Derry from Northern Ireland recently, several stopped by the municipal center to see where town business is done. As part of the visit, town councilors presented an official key to Derry. The Irish visitors also gave Derry officials a small wooden crest from their community.
The visit also was part of the ongoing celebration of the 300th anniversary of the original Nutfield settlement.
