BOW —Two Derry women were arrested last Saturday after a car driving 117 mph in a 55 mph zone was pulled over on Interstate 93.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 20-year-old Kelly Murphy of Derry, according to a press release from New Hampshire State Police.
Police said Murphy was drunk, and was subsequently arrested and charged with underage DWI. Murphy was also charged with aggravated driving under the influence, reckless operation, and the unlawful possession of alcohol.
A single passenger in the car was identified by police as 19-year-old Marissa Palazzo, also of Derry.
Police said Palazzo was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and unlawful possession of alcohol.
The two were processed and released, and are awaiting arraignment in the 6th Circuit Concord Court.
