Londonderry author pens book

Londonderry High School sophomore Michaela Horan has penned her first novel, "Rolling Hills and the Lost Key of Peachtree Palace." A book-signing is set for Saturday, Oct. 30, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Ovation Theatre Company studio at 61 Harvey Road in Londonderry.

LONDONDERRY — A local high school student is realizing her dream of publishing a first novel.

Michaela Horan, 15, a sophomore at Londonderry High School, has written "Rolling Hills and the Lost Key of Peachtree Palace," a novel released last month and a long time in the making, according to a statement.

"I'm so excited for other people to read the words I wrote," Horan said.

The book is a young adult fantasy story that follows 16-year-old Hattie Hills and her friends on a journey through mystery and magic.

Horan will celebrate her book with a signing set for Saturday, Oct. 30, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Ovation Theatre Company studio, 61 Harvey Road in Londonderry.

People are encouraged to order books in advance to bring to the signing as there will be limited copies available that day.

"Rolling Hills and the Lost Key of Peachtree Palace" is available online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Target and several other outlets.
