Library hosts virtual programs

Leach Library hosts a virtual story time program beginning Monday, Nov. 29, 10 a.m. The theme is “Leaves Are Falling.” A video will be available to watch on the library’s Facebook page throughout the fall. Christmas on the Common set

The Londonderry Rotary Club, in partnership with the town, and former fire Chief Al Sypek, will host the Christmas on the Common event Sunday, Dec. 5, 3 to 6 p.m. There will be 20 trees to decorate on the Common, along with the annual tree lighting, cider, cocoa, chili and cookies. The annual Santa ride around town will take place Dec. 4, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Rotary to host “Rotary Saves Christmas” effort

The Londonderry Rotary Club hosts its “Rotary Saves Christmas” raffle through Dec. 15 with proceeds going back into the community for various charitable efforts and scholarships.

In past years, Rotarians have used money raised to support many charities and nonprofits including St. Jude Food Pantry; St. Gianna’s Place, supporting housing and training for young mothers in distress; Step-Up Parents; and Londonderry Baby Bibs, which offers every newborn baby in Londonderry a bib.

Tickets for the raffle are $10 each or three for $25. The drawing is held Dec. 15, 7 p.m. at the Rotary club’s meeting at the Coach Stop Restaurant. Drawings will be for four prizes. Top prize is $2,000, second prize is $1,000, and two prizes of $500 each will be drawn. Supervisors in session

The Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session Tuesday, Jan. 18, 6 to 7 p.m. at the Town Clerk’s office to register voters or correct the checklist. To register, one must provide proof of Londonderry residence, proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate, naturalization papers), proof of age, and photo identification. Anyone without the proper materials can sign an affidavit attesting to their qualifications for identity, age, residence and citizenship.
