Library to host garden program
Leach Library will host "A Garden for Wildlife: Natural Landscaping for a Better Backyard" on Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. at the library on Mammoth Road.
The program will be led by Sigrid Salmela, a trained volunteer from the UNH Cooperative Extension's "Speaking for Wildlife" project.
The presentation includes information on ways to modify a backyard, garden or other landscaped area to help wildlife habitats, using safe plant choices and feeders.
The program is free and open to the public.
Celebrating Flight art show continues
The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire will hold its first high school art show, "Celebrating Flight."
The show continues through April 30 and feature student art that honors flight and aviation. The museum is located at 27 Navigator Road. Call 669-4820.
Story time offered at museum
The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire will host a story time for children on Friday, May 1, at 11 a.m. at the museum, 27 Navigator Road.
The children's event includes a paper airplane building session for children of all ages.
Admission is included in price of museum admission. Children under 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Admission is also free for museum members.
Lions Club hosts concert May 9
The Londonderry Lions Club will present a concert on Saturday, May 9, at 7 p.m. at the Lions Hall on Mammoth Road.
The concert features Bobby and the Sharptones playing the classics from many decades.
Proceeds from the show will support Lions’ missions and charities including students scholarships, local sight and hearing programs and Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for the community.
This concert was rescheduled from an earlier date. Tickets are $20 per person, $35 per couple. That includes snacks and coffee.
Soda and water will be for sale; the concert is a BYOB event. Call 434-5307.
