The Londonderry Republican Committee meets on Thursday, June 20, at 7 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 78 Litchfield Road.
Summer concerts continue
The Londonderry Arts Council hosts the annual free summer Concerts on the Common series every Wednesday, 7 p.m. on the Common. In case of bad weather, concerts are moved indoors to a nearby school. Blues band Delta Generators featuring Brian Templeton is set for Wednesday, July 26. There is no concert on Wednesday, July 3.
Leach Library offers summer fun
Leach Library hosts its summer program with the theme “Universe of Stories” and welcomes Curious George for a visit Thursday, June 20, 11 a.m. to noon. Hear stories and learn about monkeys. The program is sponsored by Friends of the Londonderry Leach Library. Registration is required by calling 603-432-1132.
Summer media camp planned
The annual summer media camp is set for July 15-26, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Londonderry Access Center cable studio. The camp is open to students entering fifth through eighth grade in the fall of 2019. Students will learn aspects of video production, will learn to produce a show, and learn about cameras and editing. Call to reserve a camp spot at 603-432-1100, ext. 185.
Senior Center offers yoga
The Londonderry Senior Center offers yoga classes led by Barbara Scott and Lisa Kress. Classes take place at the senior center, 535 Mammoth Road and are held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 to 10 a.m. For information call the senior center at 603-432-8554.
Legion hosts fundraiser
The American Legion Post 27 hosts a fundraising barbecue to support those battling leukemia on June 22, 1 to 5 p.m., at the post home, 6 Sargent Road.
Scavenger hunt set
Leach Library hosts a weekend scavenger hunt on Saturdays, June 22 and 29. Children will be sent around the library to find different pieces of information. Return the completed scavenger hunt card to the Children’s Room and receive a raffle ticket to win prizes.
Library hosts book discussion
Leach Library hosts a book discussion group for students in grades six through 12 on Thursday, July 25. Meetings times are either 3 to 4 p.m. or 6 to 7 p.m. The featured book to be discussed is "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle.
Leach hosts fun and games
Leach Library hosts a night of fun games and activities for children in grades six through 12. The program is Thursday, July 18, 6 to 7 p.m. at the library on Mammoth Road. Participants are encouraged to bring their own games to share.
Supervisors in session
The Supervisors of the Voter Checklist will meet at the town clerk’s office to correct the checklist and register voters on Aug. 21, 6 to 7 p.m. To register to vote, one must provide proof of Londonderry residency, proof of citizenship (passport, birth certification, naturalization papers), proof of age, photo ID. Qualified applicants who do not possess proof or who do not bring proof with them may register if they sign an affidavit attesting to their qualifications for identity, age, domicile and citizenship.
