Leach Library offers book bingo

The Leach Library on Mammoth Road offers book bingo on Thursday, April 18, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Participants will choose a book from a special selection as a prize. To registration is required to attend the program.

Rail trail spring cleaning time

Londonderry Trailways hosts its annual spring train cleanup event on Saturday, April 20, 9 to 11 a.m. Volunteers are asked to meet at the North Elementary School parking lot off Sanborn Road. Garbage bags will be provided. Pick-up trucks are needed. All volunteers should wear work boots and gloves. Visit londonderrytrails.org for information.

Softball league needs players

The Londonderry 50+ Softball League is looking for players for the upcoming season. The league is for players 50 and over. The league is primary for Londonderry residents but non-residents are welcomed consistent with town restrictions. Games are Tuesdays starting at 6:30 p.m. and play is expected to begin in April and end in October. Senior center hosts bingo

The Londonderry Senior Center, 535 Mammoth Road, offers bingo every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 2 p.m. All seniors over 55 are welcome. Call the senior center for information at 603-432-8554.

Supervisors in session

The Supervisors of the Voter Checklist will meet at the town clerk’s office to correct the checklist and register voters on May 15, from 6 to 7 p.m. To register to vote, one must provide: proof of Londonderry residency, proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate, naturalization papers), proof of age, photo ID. Applicants for registration who possess proof of identity, age, citizenship, and domicile should bring that proof when they come to register. Qualified applicants who do not possess proof or who do not bring proof with them may register if they sign an affidavit attesting to their qualifications for identity, age, domicile and citizenship.

Police host opioid forum

The Londonderry Police Department hosts an Opioid Addiction Forum on May 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Londonderry High, 295 Mammoth Road. Experts in the field will discuss the opioid crisis in a panel format. This event is open to the public and intended for opioid users, family members and those interested in learning about the state’s resources available for those affected by addiction.

Art in Action set

In its 15th year, Art in Action returns with its "working studio" environment throughout the weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, at Mack's Apples farm market, 230 Mammoth Road. Artist will set up studio space and demonstrate their creative process through many mediums. Hours for Art in Action are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The weekend is free and open to the public. Community toy sale set

The Londonderry Women's Club hosts its annual community toy sale on May 18 at Matthew Thornton Elementary School. It's time to start collecting all those used toys, games and baby items. The club will sell the gently used items. Proceeds will be donated to the Londonderry elementary and kindergarten PTA groups.
