Sales to support charities
Connect 55, formerly Grand Estates, hosts a sale of fine homemade materials and articles available for purchase on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to area charities. There will be raffles throughout the day. For information, call 603-216-5397.
Rotary to host “Rotary Saves Christmas” effort
The Londonderry Rotary Club hosts its “Rotary Saves Christmas” raffle through Dec. 15 with proceeds going back into the community for various charitable efforts and scholarships.
In past years, Rotarians have used money raised to support many charities and nonprofits including St. Jude Food Pantry; St. Gianna’s Place, supporting housing and training for young mothers in distress; Step-Up Parents that supports families in need; Londonderry Baby Bibs, providing funding to offer a every newborn baby in Londonderry a bib.
Rotarians also sponsored the Londonderry High School senior banner program along Mammoth Road, and has awarded more than $125,000 in scholarship money to high school graduates over the past 10 years.
Tickets for the raffle are $10 each or three for $25. The drawing is held Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Rotary club’s meeting at the Coach Stop Restaurant. Drawing will be for four prizes. Top prize is $2,000, second prize is $1,000 and two prizes of $500 each will be drawn.

Library expands browsing hours
Leach Library has expanded its browsing hours and is now open for walk-in browsing Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Drive-thru service will be available upon request.
Meeting rooms will not be available during this phase of reopening. Virtual programs will continue to be available on the library’s Facebook page, blog, and YouTube channel. For information call the library at 603-432-1132.
Library hosts virtual programs
Starting Monday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. a young adult craft time is available where participants can make their own Halloween-themed mask. Craft kits also available at the library while supplies last.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. join Miss Jennifer for a virtual story time, “Once Upon a Pumpkin.” The video will be available to view throughout the fall season on the library’s Facebook page.
Checklist supervisors to meet
The Supervisors of the Checklist meet at the town clerk’s office to register voters and correct the checklist on Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. To register to vote, bring proof of Londonderry residency, proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate, naturalization papers), proof of age and a photo ID. Applicants who qualify to register but don’t have proof with them can register is they sign an affidavit attesting to all their qualifications.
