Sign up for library cards

September is Library Card Sign Up Month and all new cardholders will receive a new patron packet and gift bag at Leach Library. Library cards are free to those who live in town, work for the town or work for the school district. Students ages 6 and up are eligible for their own card. Non-resident cards are $50 per year. Rental assistance available

Are you behind on rent due to Covid-19? The Rockingham County Emergency Rental Assistance Program has funds available for Rockingham County tenants in need of rental and/or utility assistance. Visit rockinghamcountynh.org/rent to apply. Payments disbursed directly to landlord for rental arrears going back to March 13, 2020. Total months of assistance cannot exceed 12 months.

Library expands browsing hours

Leach Library has expanded its browsing hours and is now open for walk-in browsing Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The drive-thru service will be available upon request.

Meeting rooms will not be available during this phase of reopening. Virtual programs will continue to be available on the library’s Facebook page, blog, and YouTube channel. For information call the library at 603-432-1132

Leach Library offers ‘Forensic Science’

Leach Library is hosting a virtual adult program. Called “Forensic Science,” the program features a video that will be available on the library’s Facebook page, blog and YouTube channel. Public Services Librarian Matt Fuller will give updates on new forensic science books and crime thrillers available. To reserve any of the titles call 603-432-1132.
