DERRY — With no school and plenty of snow left on the ground, the hill at Alexander-Carr Park in Derry was a popular destination last week.
As winter 2010-2011 begins to fade, there is still plenty of snow on the ground for outdoor fun. Even the rain and sleet early this week couldn't wash away all the snow.
Students are back in class this week, but those who vacationed at home found plenty to do at local libraries, museums and sliding spots.
Residents can goodbye to winter and say hello to spring with the vernal equinox on March 20 7:21 p.m.
