Who will it be?
The Londonderry Rotary is drawing its annual $10,000 raffle winner Thursday, Jan. 5, at 6 p.m. upstairs at the Coach Stop Restaurant.
Rotarian Reed P. Clark III, who is the publicist for the organization, will be in Florida for the month of January and word has it he is upset about missing the primary.
Christmas tree bonfire planned
The Boy Scouts' annual Christmas tree bonfire is coming up on Saturday, Jan. 7, at Mack's Apples. Trees can be dropped off Jan. 7 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the side of the farmstand building.
A bonfire will be held at 5 p.m.
Group help for women who overeat
A free group for woman looking for an individualized physical, emotional and spiritual approach to help with overeating will be held Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m., Jan. 9 to April 16, at the Avery Center at the Londonderry Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Pillsbury and Mammoth Roads.
The meetings will be based on the book, "Women, Food and God" by Geneen Roth. Instead of trying to get rid of or fix eating problems, women will learn important life lessons to grow and heal so that they may end up seeing eating as self care, stop struggling with weight issues and self-image, and improve their lives.
