Leach Library hosts musical event
Leach Library hosts its November adult program, “Banjos and Old Lace” featuring Angle-American parlor songs and old time southern tunes.

Comedy night set at Tupelo Music Hall
The Londonderry Women’s Club hosts its annual Comedy Night on Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. at Tupelo Music Hall, 2 Young Road.
Comedians Robbie Printz and Jody Sloane will take the Tupelo stage. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. The cost is $20 for general admission. For information or tickets, call (714) 801-4142.
Legion Post 27 offers events
American Legion Post 27 hosts a full schedule of events. The Sons of the American Legion turkey shoot is on Nov. 15 from 7 to 10 p.m.; karaoke with DJ Sharon on Nov. 22 from 7:30 to 11 p.m.; and bingo for veterans on Nov. 25 at the Veterans Administration hospital in Manchester from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
All members and their guests are welcome to attend events and functions. The Legion is seeking new members. More information is available on the Post 27 Facebook page.
Board membersare reappointed
Two members of the Londonderry Planning Board were reappointed for additional terms. Town councilors gave another term to Lynn Wiles and Maria Newman during a meeting Nov. 4.
New cutting tool purchase approved
Town councilors approved spending $5,610 to purchase a new hydraulic cutting tool for the fire department. The money comes out of the town’s capital reserve funds.
The tool will be placed on rescue trucks and used for vehicle extrication work. Fire Chief Darren O’Brien said this wasn’t a planned purchase this year, but a previous tool was damaged beyond repair.
“We just can’t do without it,” O’Brien said.
Book Bingo set at Leach Library
Leach Library hosts Book Bingo for children on Nov. 18 from 4 to 5 p.m. All participants will have a chance to win books as prizes. Advance registration can be made by calling the library at 432-1127 or stop by the library’s Children’s Room.
LHS annual floral workshop planned
The Londonderry High School PTSO hosts its annual floral workshop on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Jim Giguere from Countryside Florist leads the workshop and provides all materials. The cost is $35; participants will have a floral arrangement to take home that evening. All proceeds benefit the PTSO scholarships and teacher grants. Seniors enjoy line dancing Thursdays
The Londonderry Senior Center hosts line dancing on Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. at the hall on Mammoth Road. The instructor is Sharon Dolbie. Call 432-7509.
Senior citizens host raffle
The Londonderry Senior Citizens Inc. continues the senior center’s 10th anniversary celebration with a Christmas raffle. First prize is a 42-inch flat screen LED television, second prize is cash. The drawing is Dec. 14 at the senior center holiday luncheon. Tickets are on sale at the senior center or call 432-8554 for more information.
