LONDONDERRY | Follow-up budget workshops and preliminary recommendations are planned for two dates in December to go over the proposed $35,714,273 Fiscal Year 2009 budget.

The first meeting will be Dec. 3 during the Town Council meeting at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. General government, finance and administration, community services and public safety budgets will be presented.

The second meeting is planned for Dec. 17 to discuss planning and land use, public works, capital improvement plan and bonds.

Two bond issues are proposed for voter consideration. The first is the replacement of North Fire Station estimated at $2 million; the second is the $1.5 million recommended for the annual bonding program for highway road reconstruction.

The anticipated Town tax rate for the entire budget is $4.46, which is up $0.08 from the current town rate.
