DERRY — The Tupelo Music Hall welcomes the American children's band Imagination Movers for a family performance on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m.
The music venue is located at 10A Street in Derry.
Imagination Movers began as the story of four friends from New Orleans in 2003 — Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche and Scott Smith — coming up with an idea to bring music to a younger audience, music that spoke more to children.
In years since, Imagination Movers are now a big sensation, attracting parents and their children for performances full of pop music, songs about eating healthy, and how to deal with other childhood issues like bedtime worries.
The group partnered with the Disney company in 2007 and filmed 75 episodes of their Emmy Award-winning program for three seasons. The program has aired in more than 55 countries with half a million CDs and DVDs sold.
Imagination Movers is a high performance, energetic and interactive show that has entertained millions of fans in North America, Europe and Asia. National appearances have included "The View," and "Good Morning America."
Tickets for the Tupelo performance are priced at $22 and available through the music venue's box office or at tickets.tupelohall.com. Ticket packages also include a "meet and greet" opportunity for families to meet the performers.
