LONDONDERRY — After classes end, the learning continues

At North Elementary School in Londonderry, once the school day is over students can then enjoy the afternoon Electronics Discovery Club, a group where students are exposed to all sorts of wonders about electronics and programming through hands-on activities.

The students learn all about electronics through these activities, ranging from creating and programming a light-emitting diode to blink patterns, to building a temperature-reading lightning bug, building a stopwatch with a liquid crystal display screen that can be programmed to show text.

Students will also learn basic electricity concepts, how to build simple circuits, electrical safety and how to use electronics tools.

The afternoon club is held every Thursday through March 7.
