DERRY — Soup's on again in 2020 with the annual Potter's Bowl benefit event to support Community Caregivers of Greater Derry.
The annual benefit is Saturday, Feb. 1, 5 to 8 p.m. at Pinkerton Academy's freshman cafeteria.
For $40, guests can choose a handcrafted pottery bowl donated by New Hampshire professional and student artists while enjoying a dozen different soups provided by restaurants in the Derry area, along with breads and desserts. Guests can then take their bowl home.
Bowls for children under 12 cost $15.
During the Potter's Bowl, there will be pottery wheel demonstrations, raffles, musical entertainment, a photo booth, silent auction and the Red Star Twirlers will be serving at the event.
Auction items are donated from New England artisans and craftsmen and include oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, matted photography, wooden crafts, clothing and handcrafted jewelry. Donations are still being accepted and all donors receive a complimentary ticket to the event.
The Potter's Bowl joins the community for a night of fun and food to benefit the nonprofit Community Caregivers of Greater Derry, dedicated to serving the elderly and disabled in the area.
