It’s the town’s big party held every September, joining families, businesses and organizations together for a day of community spirit.
This year’s 30th annual Derryfest celebration was held last Saturday in MacGregor Park on East Broadway next to Derry Public Library.
Local businesses, artisans, eateries and organizations filled the park with fun, crafts to sell, children’s activities and a long list of bandstand activities and entertainment throughout the day.
This year also paid tribute to the 300th anniversary of the original Nutfield settlement with special history displays, booths, and entertainment.
To help kick off the 30th year, original Derryfest committee members were also recognized.
Once the day ended in the park, festivities continued on further down on Broadway as the third annual Derry After Dark drew more big crowds to enjoy craft beers, wine tastings, and food vendors.
