DERRY — Enjoy outdoor fitness classes sponsored by the Derry Parks and Recreation Department, weather permitting.

Classes are held daily throughout the week at Don Ball Park, 14 Humphrey Road. Classes are $5 each so grab sneakers, water, and a mat and enjoy some great exercise classes, six feet apart, and on the open field next to the upper level pavilion.

Classes are ongoing and class schedules will be updated on the Recreation website and Facebook page as more classes become available. Instructors will not be able to provide change, so please bring the exact amount with you. A waiver must be signed with the instructor prior to participating.

Upcoming classes include the following:

Zumba on Mondays, 9:30 a.m. Dance to great music, with great people and burn a ton of calories. It is fun, effective and best of all, made for everyone. Bring a mat, water and towel. 

Boot Camp Barre, Mondays at 11 a.m. Join in for some cardio BootCamp fused with some classic Barre moves. Short cardio bursts will be fused with sculpting work to keep your heart rate elevated and calories burning. Bring a mat, water, and towel.

Zumba Gold on Tuesdays, 10 a.m., a class with easy to follow choreography focusing on balance, range of motion and coordination while recreating the original Zumba moves. All levels welcome. 

Line dancing, Wednesdays, 10 a.m. Easy dances are taught at this level and additional step patterns added throughout the class. The class is perfect for beginners.

Yoga, Thursdays, 10 a.m. Experience a Vinyasa style yoga flow linking breath and mindful movement. Participants will be guided through a variety of poses while standing, laying and sitting on your mat. Modifications will be demonstrated, all abilities and body types are encouraged to join. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Bring yoga mat, water, and wear comfortable clothes.

Line dancing, Fridays, 10 a.m. This class offers a more challenging line dance program with fun, yet challenging step patters. The class is perfect for those with previous experience.

Zumba, Sundays, 8 a.m. Dance to great music, with great people and burn a ton of calories. Bring water, towel and mat. 

BootCamp Barre, Sundays, 9:30 a.m. Cardio BootCamp moves fused with classic Barre for a great workout. Bring mat, water and towel.
