Chamber reschedules ‘Taste’ event
The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce has rescheduled its annual “Taste of the Region” event to July 21, 5 p.m. at the Tupelo Music Hall, 10A St. in Derry.
The annual event joins dozens of area restaurants and businesses for a night of sampling of food, desserts, wines and craft beers and also offers opportunities for business people to network.
The Derry Village Rotary and Derry Rotary clubs, postponed the annual veteran cookout and celebration, with a later date to be set.
The town's traditional Memorial Day parade, canceled and community services in MacGregor Park also canceled. Local veteran groups plan to hold private Memorial Day ceremonies.
The Derry Diamond Athletic Association, formerly Derry Little League, has cancelled its spring season. Association president Bill Libby posted a letter to families on the organization’s page at derryll.org.
Annual Touch-a-Truck event, scheduled for June, has been postponed to a later date.

The Marion Gerrish Community Center and thrift shop, closed.
Derry Public Library, closed to the public. Staff will connect with patrons through phone calls and online services. Call the library for information at 603-432-6140;
Taylor Library, closed. Any fines/late fees during this period will be waived.
The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Derry, closed until further notice.
The Derry History Museum, closed.
Town Hall, closed until further notice. Town staff will continue to work to serve residents and plans to operate as a “virtual” Town Hall, with transactions able to be done online, by phone or by drop box at the town office building. Town staff will be working both remotely and on site to help serve residents.

The Windham Town Beach, closed due to concerns with the COVID-19 crisis. Boat launching is still permitted, following the current launch rules. Please do not congregate or use the beach.
