LONDONDERRY — Curious locals and aviation fanatics alike had their eyes on the sky at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport last week.
The crowd, gathered for the Homebuilt Fly-In event hosted by the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire, watched as about 15 homemade airplanes landed on a designated strip of tarmac.
The planes remained on display throughout the day. The idea came from observations made by museum volunteers.
Most people don't understand experimental aircrafts, said museum director Wendell Berthelsen. Entertainment and education about the unique aircrafts were the goals set and achieved at last week's event.
