Heather Cherniack and Christopher Burt Jr., both of Pompano Beach, Fla., were married in a double-ring ceremony by the Rev. Jeff McCormick at St. Maximillan Kolbe Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
The bride is the daughter of James and Anne Cherniack of Derry. The groom is the son of Christopher and Barbara Burt of Miramar, Fla.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Rhianna Speck of Williamsport, Pa., friend of the bride.
Bridal attendants were Courtney Bateman, Worcester, Mass., friend of the bride, and Charlotta Buth of Ocala, Fla., cousin of the groom.
Best man was Phillip Ferrer of Hollywood, Fla., friend of the groom.
Groomsmen were John Cherniack of Venice Beach, Calif., brother of the bride, and Jason Young of Butler, Pa., friend of the groom.
A reception was held at American Legion Post 142, Pompano Beach, Fla. The couple spent their honeymoon in Costa Rica.
The bride graduated from Pinkerton Academy and Lock Haven University. She is employed at Miami VA Medical Center.
The groom graduated from Hallandale High School, Hallandale Community College and American Intercontinental University. He is employed as the headmaster of Budoiki Ryu Martial Arts Dojo.
The couple makes their home in Big Pine Key, Fla.
