Hall of Fame nominations sought

DERRY —Pinkerton Academy is currently seeking nominations for its Hall of Fame, Class of 2014. The nine-person selection committee will meet then to review and vote on nominees.

Anyone can nominate someone for the Hall of Fame. Nominations are due by Feb. 15.

‘Follow That Rabbit’ set for Feb. 8 and 9

DERRY —St. Thomas Aquinas School Drama Club presents “Follow That Rabbit” on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 9 at noon at the Aquinas Center, behind St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave.

The show features a cast of students presenting the story of Alice in Wonderland.

There will be talking animals, musical numbers and a tea party.

Hood senior dance planned

DERRY — Gilbert H. Hood Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society hosts is annual spring dance for area seniors on March 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the school.

Students and guests will enjoy music, dancing and light refreshments. The dance is held in the school’s dining hall.

Pinkerton presents ‘Damn Yankees’

DERRY — Pinkerton Players present the musical “Damn Yankees” March 27-30 at the Stockbridge Theatre at Pinkerton Academy.

The show is part of the school’s 200th anniversary in 2014. It tells the story of the worst team in baseball, the Washington Senators, and the deal that one player makes with the devil to help the team have better luck. The show features some familiar songs, including “You Gotta Have Heart” and “Shoeless Joe from Hannibal Mo.”

Show times are March 27, 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. and March 30 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available through the Stockbridge box office, by calling 437-5210 or at stockbridgetheatre.com.
