CARL RUSSO/staff photo Guest speaker Janet Stevens, the Executive Councilor representing the state's District 3, thanked the veterans for doing their part to serve. A dedication ceremony was held Saturday morning to celebrate the opening of the Wilbur E. Tarbell Post 109 American Legion Building in Windham. The Post is named for Wilbur Tarbell, the only Windham native to die in action during W.W. II. The Navy Veteran died when his submarine was lost at sea. Special guest attending the ceremony were Tarbell's family members. His niece, Earlo Pelletier; her daughter, Charleen Michaud; her son, Robert Pelletier and his wife Brenda. They all live in Windham. 5/01/2021
