Pinkerton gets a shutout

The freshman Lady Astros blanked Concord Sept. 19, 4-0.

The Astros got goals from Nicole Gonya (assist Rachel Wood), Michaela Forand (assist Nicole Gonya), Nicole Longval (assist Madi Smith), and Rachel Wood (assist Nicole Gonya). Goalie Julia Bousquet picked up her third shutout of the season.

Lady Astros fall

The varsity Lady Astros saw their record fall to 2–2 Sept. 16 when they lost 3–1 to Exeter Blue Hawks, 25-15, 23 -25, 22 – 25, and 22-25. Elizabeth Hicks led Pinkerton with 11 points. Lexi Verrault added 6 aces. Courtney Collins had 10 kills and Olivia Mathieu led the Astros with 15 digs.

Pinkerton tops Keene

The varsity Lady Astros defeated Keene, 3–0, by scores of 25-19, 25-9, and 25-12. Olivia Mathieu led the Astros with 9 kills and 8 digs, Taylor Ferdinando had 13 assists, and Lexi Verreault had 17 service points and 9 aces. Elizabeth Hicks added 11 service points and 7 aces, while Faye Harrington had 5 kills.

Blue Hawks prove too much

The JV Lady Astros took their second loss Sept. 16 against the Exeter Blue Hawks, 12-25, 20-25, 15-11.

Evan Duval led the Astros at the net with 5 kills and 2 blocks. Setter Sarah Hicks had 4 assists and 3 aces. Setter Whitney Leyland added 3 assists. Victoria Walder also came up big on the outside with 3 kills.

Astros top Blackbirds

The JV Lady Astros earned their third win of the season Sept. 18 against the Keene Blackbirds by scores 25-10, 25-15 and 15-10.

Maggie Gildea had 8 aces and Whitney Leyland had 4. Carly McDonough, Cheyenne Wright, Evan Duval and Victoria Walder all had 4 kills. Sarah Hicks coming up big with 9 setting assists.

Olivia Mathieu led the team in aces, kills and digs. Nicole Langlais had 10 digs and 4 kills. Taylor Ferdinando added 8 assists. Kelsey Cummings added 11 digs.

Make that four for the Astros

The JV Lady Astros earned their fourth win of the season against the Salem Blue Devils. The scores were 15-25, 25-12 and 15-6.
