Londonderry’s Griffin is in the NFL
LONDONDERRY — Londonderry’s Ryan Griffin is on the roster for the Houston Texans, wearing Number 84 at tight end.
Griffin, who played at UConn, was drafted by the Texans in May and made the roster this summer.
In a question-and-answer piece on the Texans’ website, Griffin said he was adjusting to Texas, a far cry (and distance) from Londonderry.
“It’s really hot. People are really nice,” he said. “It’s a lot different from home, obviously, New Hampshire. But everybody’s been really welcoming just in the streets and meeting people out. It’s been enjoyable.”
Griffin was a two-time second team All-Big East selection and played in the Raycom College Football All-Star Classic.
