Gym-Ken gymnasts participated in the Winter Carnival in Stratham recently.
The Level 4 team placed third. The team includes: Cassandra King of Haverhill; Ashley McKinnon and Alyssa McFaddon, both of Derry; Vera Backman of Hampstead; Shanni Zhou of Windham, who placed first place in the All-Around; Riley Birmingham, second in the All-Around; Lindsey Brayer, who scored 9.1 for first on beam; Isabella Materese, 9.250 on floor for second-place tie; Pace McKeon, second in the All-Around and first on floor; Ava Gravell, 9.375 on bars for second-place tie; Caitlin Higgins; Kaley Riley; Sophie Sullivan; and Allison O'Connor.
The Level 5 team placed third. The team includes Windham's Hannah Monahan, second place on bars; Delaney Cunningham, second on vault; Sydney Baldridge, Taylor Maffeo. Mary Gallo, Kiana Roy and Caitlin McLaughlin of Salem; Emily Connors of Derry; Lily-Anne Heywood of Derry, third in the All-Around; and Sierra Edgecomb of Derry, first in the All-Around.
The Level 6 team placed seventh. It includes Anya Comeau of Derry; Courtney Baharian of Londonderry; Maddie Baumann of Londonderry; and Mira Kutney of Londonderry, second place in the All-Around.
The Level 7 team placed third. The team includes Julianna Corsetto of Derry, second in the All-Around; Windham's Tori Sipes, third in the All-Around; Alexandra Masone, second on floor with 9.325; Samantha Jezak, first place in the All-Around.
The teams are coached by Amberlynn Gifford, Jen Corsetto and Ruth Licata.
