Local swimmer scores in synchronized meet

---- — The Catalinas Synchronized Swim Team of the Y of Greater Manchester recently competed at the 2013 East Zone Region D Intermediate and Age Group Championship at the YWCA of Central Massachusetts in Worcester, Mass.

In the 13 and over intermediate figures, Madelinn Harmelink of Dunbarton placed first, Abigail Smith placed honorary first and Lindsey Andrews of Dunbarton placed honorary seventh.

Elizabeth Herod of Goffstown placed fifth for her 13 and over intermediate solo routine.

Rachel Venator of Concord, Harmelink and Kaylie Piecuch of Goffstown placed fourth in their 13 and over intermediate trio routine.

Olivia Caselden of Derry, Venator, Harmelink, Smith, Andrews, Herod and Piecuch placed fourth in their 13 and over intermediate team routine.

The team will compete in the 2013 East Zone A Intermediate and Age Group Championships at the Greater Lawrence Technical School in Andover, Mass., on June 8 and 9.

Katherine Spalding of Mont Vernon placed third for her 13-15 age group solo routine, qualifying for the 2013 US Age Group Championships in Riverside, Calif., June 21-28.
