---- — Women, sign up foroutdoor weekend Sept. 6-8

CONCORD — Women who want to learn outdoor skills can sign up for New Hampshire’s fall Becoming an Outdoors-Woman weekend workshop, Sept. 6-8, at Rockywold/Deephaven Camps on Squam Lake in Holderness. The workshop fee of $335 includes lodging for the weekend, plus all meals, instruction and equipment use.

Participants select sessions from more than 30 different outdoor skills workshops, from archery, fishing and fly-fishing to camping, field dressing game, hiking, kayaking, rifle, shotgun, nature photography, outdoor survival, campfire cooking, mountain biking, map and compass, and more.

Register now forDerry wrestling camp

DERRY — Derry’s Wrestling Rebels will host the Rock Solid Wrestling Camp at Barka Elementary School July 22-24.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and costs $165. The camp is open to grades 1 through 12.

Rock Bonomo is the former head coach at Lock Haven University, a two-time All American, and is recognized as one of the best youth clinicians in the country. He will be assisted by several of his former wrestlers who have wrestled in the NCAA Division I tournament and are currently coaching various high school programs throughout the country.

Try out next week forSZ United football team

DERRY — Tryouts for SZ United, the premier football club will be held the week of June 10 at Pinkerton’s soccer fields.

Players are required to attend one of the tryout sessions, but may attend both. All players will be notified by email or phone by June 28 of team placement.

The tryout fee is $10 and includes an SZ United shirt Register up to 30 minutes prior to tryout. Visit szunited.org for specific tryout times.

Londonderry Youth Golf program starts soon

LONDONDERRY — The Londonderry Youth Golf Program begins June 23 for the competitive program and June 25 for the instructional program.

This recreational program is designed to accommodate both beginning and experienced golfers ages 7 to 18.

The instructional program (ages 7 to 13) meets Tuesday evenings for seven weeks and costs $65. The competitive program (ages 12 to 18) meets on Sunday and Tuesday evenings for eight weeks and costs $185.

Both the instructional and competitive programs are held at The Windham Country Club.

Women invited tofree self-defense class

DERRY — A free self-defense workshop for women will be held June 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at ATA Martial Arts in Derry, Sportszone, second floor.

All women, friends and mothers are invited to attend, as long as they are 8 or older.
