On Saturday night the Astros traveled to the Capital City to take on Concord.

Astros roll along
The Pinkerton JV played a 5-2 Bedford team last week.
Once again, the Astros dominated the first quarter to take a 28-0 lead.
Jason Hanson had a 60-yard run and a 40-yard interception to score.
Jake Hannaway at quarterback had a good first half, throwing and running the ball as well.
The starters again were out of the game with 4 minutes left in the first half. The rest of the JV entered the game and did the job to continue the hard-nose play of the team.
Bedford has been the only team to score 7 points on the Astro defense in seven games this year. This week, the JV team is at home against Concord, whose record also is 7-0.
Astros remain undefeated
The freshman Astro team hosted Concord and upped its record to 7-0 by beating the Crimson Tide, 40-0.
Playing well for the Astros were Branden McColligan, Trevor Smith, Matt Allard, Chris Palmer, Jake Burnham and Matt Mulligan.
Tomahawks stop Astros
Last week, the varsity Lady Astros traveled to Merrimack to play the top-ranked team in the state.
Brenna McNally was all over the floor with 10 kills and five aces. Courtney Collins and Tyla Mahon added 5 blocks apiece and were strong at the net.
Rachel Byrd contributed 15 service points, 5 aces and a strong defensive effort. Jaime Metzger came into game 4 and gave the team a big lift with two big digs and an important service point.
