After cruising through District 5 of the Cal Ripken 11-year-old tournament, the 12-player team of Youngsville's best 11-year-olds advanced to the state tournament, hosted by Merrimack.
Youngsville went through the state tournament undefeated, beating Nashua, Dover, Exeter and Milford in the championship game.
Youngsville's 11-year-olds traveled to the Cal Ripken New England Regionals in New Milford, Conn., last weekend. This is the second time in three years this group has won the state title.
Youngsville has cruised through its all-star season, winning the Londonderry Invitational, Litchfield Invitational and Youngsville Invitational tournaments.
The team put together 25 wins in heading into the New England Regionals. Solid pitching, defense and timely hitting have sparked the team on its run.
The team has been invited to Fenway Park on Sept. 4, when they will be recognized for their accomplishments on the field before the Red Sox and White Sox game.
