---- — LHS basketball joins Hoops for Hunger
LONDONDERRY — Londonderry High School athletic director Howard Sobolov has announced that Londonderry High School, in conjunction with the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association, WMUR and the N.H. Food Bank will participate in the annual Hoops for Hunger program.
During the two basketball games on Friday, Jan. 17, and Friday, Jan. 24, we will be collecting nonperishable food items to the St. Jude Food Pantry. In addition, all gate receipts from those games will be donated to the food pantry as well.
Items that are especially needed are peanut butter, jelly, tuna fish, soups, pasta, sauce, and canned fruits and vegetables. Do not donate items in glass containers.
Youngsville seeks AAU baseball players
Youngsville Granite Heat AAU baseball is looking for baseball players ages U13, U14 and U15 to try out. Playersmust have been born after May 1, 1998. Winter workouts begin Jan. 24.

They will have a table at the Youngsville general signups on Jan. 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Weston School in Manchester.
Youngsville is an established elite baseball community for more than 50 years, supporting programs for ages 4 to 15. Baseball programs include T-ball, Rookie, Minors, Major 70 and now a 90-foot AAU program.
Lax players, learn from UNH women
DURHAM — The University of New Hampshire women’s lacrosse team will hold the Wildcat Lacrosse High School Clinic on Saturday, March 15, at UNH’s Bremner Field.
The clinic, which is open to girls in grades 9-12, runs from 9 a.m. to noon, and costs $75. Participants will learn elite skills from UNH head coach Sarah Albrecht, assistant coach Eileen Finn and student-athletes on the UNH lacrosse team.
