Phantom Prep Op gymnasts shine in opener
The Phantom Prep Op gymnastics team enjoyed their first meet of the season and performed very well at Gym Street USA in Wilmington, Mass. Gymnasts took many awards for each age division as well as 8 of 9 top placements in the overall all around awards for 3 divisions.
Kylie Lowell of Derry took first place in the all around for the overall Advanced division as well as her age group with a score of 36.1. Sammy Graziani, also of Derry, took 2nd in her age division and 3rd in the overall division with a 34.75. In the Intermediate division, Nicole Faber of Salem took first place in the overall division and in her age group with a score of 35.95.
Emily Cambra of Hampstead took second place in her age and overall with a score of 35.6 followed by Genevieve Gigandet of Groveland, Mass. who took first in her age division and third overall with a 35.35. In the Novice Division, Mickey Hughes of Salem took first place overall with a 36.6. Ashley Iannuzzi of Hampstead was 1st in her age division and 2nd overall with a 35.5 and Amber Chopelas of Salem took 2nd in her age and 3rd overall with a score of 35.45.
Anna Fallisi took 3rd in the Advanced 12-14 year old division, Lillian Oliveri took 4th and Sam O'Connel took 6th. (all of Salem) In the Intermediate 9-10 year old division, Aisling Gigandet of Groveland, MA took 2nd. In the 11-12 division, Shealyn Redmond of Salem took 3rd, Corrinn Szostkiewcz of Hampstead took 4th, Gemma Schena of Kingston took 5th and Jillian Parnigoni of Hampstead took 6th.
Alex Cave and Ally DeCloux both of Chester took second and third in the 13+ division. In the Novice 7-9 year old division, Sammy Eagen of Londonderry took second. Julia Worden of Windham tied for 2nd with Christina Giannopoulos of Hampstead in the 10-11 year old division; Julia DeCloux of Chester took 4th and Amanda Thomas of Hampstead took 6th. Sam Milone of Plaistow took 3rd in the 12 year old division and Ashley Myer of Salem took 2nd in the 13+ division.
