Competition will kick off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, when spectators can get a sneak peek at the team that will represent New Hampshire in the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games in Princeton, N.J., in June as they vie for state gold against three other teams in their division.
All competitions are free to attend and open to the public.
SONH is seeking volunteers to assist with timing, scorekeeping, individual skills competition, serving and delivering lunches and helping with Friday evening events. Betley Chevrolet supports Little League
DERRY — In the spirit of community collaboration and teamwork taught through youth sports, Betley Chevrolet is supporting Derry American Little League through the Chevy Youth Baseball Program. This sponsorship will include both monetary and equipment donations during the 2014 youth baseball season.
Chevy Youth Baseball is a grassroots initiative that establishes a positive relationship between local dealers and the communities they serve. Betley Chevrolet is sponsoring Derry American Little League as a part of Chevrolet’s nationwide commitment to support youth sports, one community at a time.
Betley will donate equipment to the league which may include: equipment bags, baseballs, softballs, catcher’s gear, batting helmets, ball buckets, umpire’s equipment, coach’s kits, breakaway bases, bat racks and first aid kits.
Youth baseball participants will have a chance to attend a youth clinic with a local professional baseball team.
“We are looking forward to a great season with Derry American Little League that will be filled with exciting games and an enhanced experience for the teams through the equipment and cash donations,” said Jeff Platek of Betley Chevrolet. “Chevy Youth Baseball is just one example of how committed our dealership is to supporting the youth and families in our community.”
