(Continued)

The second week of camp is July 8-12 at Pinkerton Academy.

Two young baseball players needed

Youngsville 8-year-old Granite Heat team has two openings. They are looking for two 8-year-old or younger players to play in two tournaments in July, as well as some practices and scrimmages.

There is no cost; a uniform shirt and hat are included.

Call Garde Burgess at 892-0177 or email info@youngsvillebaseball.org.

He’ll skate like an Eagle

Recent Pinkerton Academy graduate Zach Sanford will head to Boston College and skate with the Eagles in the fall.

The Washington Capitals chose the 2012 Eagle-Tribune Hockey MVP in the second round of the NHL Draft.

An all-state volleyballer for the Astros this spring, Sanford spent the winter on the ice playing for the Islanders of the Eastern Junior Hockey League.

A 6-foot-3 left wing, Sanford scored 12 goals.

Antlerless deer permits are now available

CONCORD — Hunters who want the chance to take additional antlerless deer in Wildlife Management Unit M in southeastern New Hampshire during the fall hunting seasons can now buy a special permit from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.

This year, a total of up to 4,000 hunters will be allowed to purchase Special Antlerless Deer Permits for Unit M. At the time of purchase, hunters may opt for a permit with one deer tag ($13) or two deer tags ($26).

Interested hunters can purchase permits: online at nhfishandgame.com; over the counter at Fish and Game headquarters in Concord; print a mail-in application from the Fish and Game website at huntnh.com/Hunting/Unit_M_permits.htm; or call 271-3422 to request a permit application by mail.

Unit M permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and cost $13 for a permit with one tag; or $26 for a permit with two tags. Applicants also must hold a current New Hampshire hunting or archery license.
