Londonderry golf champions crowned

LONDONDERRY — The weather and golf were perfect for the playing of the 2013 Londonderry Country Club Championship.

Players played 36 holes of golf over two days to determine this year’s gross and net champions.

At the conclusion of the first round, defending club champion Dusty Dustin held a slight lead in both the net and gross divisions, over Roy Jenkerson and Matt Hogan. The shot of the day was Jenkerson’ s approach shot at the seventh hole, where he nearly holed it for a birdie.

Sunday’s play was back and forth between three players with Dustin winning the Club’s Gross Division with a score of 144 and Hogan taking the Net Division with a score of 120.
