Pinkerton tops the field

Pinkerton led the pack, hosting a match at Hoodkroft Country Club Aug. 24.

Pinkerton ended with 191, followed by Bishop Guertin at 202, Exeter at 206 and Spaulding at 233.

Astro Andrew Wentworth led the field at 36, followed by teammate Kaitlyn Lutinski at 37. Nick Salerna finished fourth at 38, Eric Byrne was seventh at 40, followed by Ryan Christie, also at 40.

Pinkerton second in opener

Pinkerton opened the season Aug. 22 in Keene, finishing second behind the host team.

Keene led the field with 183, followed by Pinkerton at 194, Memorial at 218 and Dover at 227.




Astros blank Bishop Guertin

Pinkerton’s varsity Lady Astros started off their season with a win, shutting out Bishop Guertin Aug. 24, 5-0. Four of those goals came in the second half. Rebecca McGrath scored three times, Katy Ann Grochmal and Maggie Cohoon each scored once.

Goalkeeper Emily Harris had eight saves for the Astros.

Maggie Cohoon had two assists; Keara Doolan and Haley Hicks each had one.
