Soccer clinic offered to teen girls

MANCHESTER — The Saint Anselm College women’s soccer team will be hosting clinics for prospective college student-athletes on Sunday, June 23, and Sunday, Aug. 11, head coach Tony Wallis announced recently. Each day, the women’s soccer staff will guide participants through drills, skills work and game simulation from noon to 3 p.m.

This three-hour session is run by the Saint Anselm College women’s soccer coaching staff and for girls ages 15 to 18.

Youth turkey weekend almost here

CONCORD — New Hampshire’s 2013 youth turkey hunt will take place Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28, the weekend before spring gobbler season gets underway.

To participate in the special youth weekend turkey hunt, hunters must be age 15 or younger, and must be accompanied by a properly licensed adult age 18 or older. The adult may not carry a firearm or bow and arrow.

Youth hunters do not need a hunting license, but they must have a valid turkey permit ($16 resident, $31 nonresident). Accompanying adults must hold either a current New Hampshire hunting or archery license and a turkey permit.

Baseball league seeks adult players

The Granite State Baseball League is looking for players for the an amateur adult baseball league.

Teams play 18 regular season games on Sundays and the league hosts an annual All-Star Game.
