Lady Lancers start with win
Aliza Simpson did it all, scoring a game-high 12 points, dishing out 12 assists and grabbing nine steals as the Lady Lancers of Londonderry opened its season with a 48-40 win over Winnacunnet Dec. 7.

Lancers take tournament
Londonderry roared to first place in the Bronco Invitational last week, leading the eight-team field.
Londonderry had 201 points. Titles came from Mitch Rose (113), Kyle Bird (145), Jon Young (152), Xander Coburn (160), Richard Bilodeau (170) and Jon DiSessa (182).
Pinkerton’s Chadd Loring was the top heavyweight.
Astros claim Classic crown
Pinkerton wrestlers reclaimed the Blue Devil Classic tournament title Saturday, taking it away from four-time defending champion Concord.
Pinkerton finished with 202 points, edging out Concord at 200.5 out of 13 teams.
Cam Crowell guaranteed the Astro grapplers the crown with a pin in the heavyweight match.
Junior Brett Wilson got a pun at 145, taking down Salem’s Jackson Peck.
Freshman Dylan Berreiro at 170 pounds had three straight pins on the day.
Pinkerton sophomore standout Jean-Luc Lemieux fell to Central Catholic’s Pat Lacroix, who was named the tourney’s outstanding wrestler.

Astros are undefeated
Pinkerton’s boys and girls teams dominated a meet Dec. 7 with Salem, Timberlane, Keene and Winnacunnet.
Atros Andreas Harb, Tori Claverie, Nicholas Bergstrom, Nicole Beals and Hendrick Suwirjo all recorded wins.
Lancers look good
The Londonderry boys team topped Campbell, Pelham and Windham at a meet Dec. 7, falling only to Bedford.
The Londonderry girls, topped Pelham and fell to Bedford and Windham.
